A weekend in Barcelona

Hi guys!

Last weekend, my sister and I went on an amazing trip to Barcelona to celebrate her birthday. We were ready for some quality sister time!
It was our first time to Barcelona, but definitely not our last!

Barcelona has a particular atmosphere which, I think, inspires many of its visitors. It made me realise that there is a little place that can be called paradise, and which is not far from home (Brussels). People there are really friendly, everyone is just in a constant good mood and the weather just made it perfect.

But let me tell you, 1 weekend is barely enough to visit Barcelona. And if you want to fit all the touristic stuff in your schedule it gets really exhausting… But it’s totally worth it.

My sister and I arrived at our AirBnB place on Friday evening. After some freshening up we went to explore the city rightaway. We were starving, so decided to get some famous paella, along with some patatas bravas. So yummy! Afterwards we went walking in the Gothic City and La Rambla and got some rest on the beach.

The next morning we woke up really early and headed to Parc Guell, which is famous for Gaudi’s former house that’s in the park and his mosaics. On our way to La Sagrada Familia we had some delicious empanadas. Up next was Parc Ciutadella in which my sister and I fell asleep and got woken up by a bunch of geese that had surrounded us!

These were the main things we visited but we did A LOT of walking! The next morning we had breakfast and headed back to the airport… We definitely didn’t spend enough time in Barcelona, but we got a good taste of what this lovely city has to offer.
